Rambo V: The Savage Hunt

Just as Rocky Balboa will never go down, it was recently announced that John Rambo, too, would be back for another round. But even then, the plot thickens. Unlike the bland/ugly/empty fourth Rambo entry, and its thematic predecessor, First Blood: Part II, this will not just be another jungle shoot-em-up. In fact, it will be something refreshingly different, (hopefully) opening up the series to go in a new direction.

This time around we have Rambo as the hunter instead of the hunted; being brought in to a top-secret military facility in the Pacific Northwest, Rambo and a team of black-ops hunt down a super-soldier (genetically-engineered?) through the woods and wherever else this Predator-esque killer goes.

What this does is open up the series for an Expendables-like cast, and yank some of the spotlight away from aging Stallone. A movie in vein of Predator is just what we need these days, and especially one set in the Pacific Northwest. Here's to hoping Stallone gets it right with Mr. Rambo after frankly making a mess of him in previous entries.
